4th of July

Our 4th of July morning started off with me cooking a big breakfast feast. Included: Pancakes, eggs, sausage and homemade home fries. Little later we walked over to the East Grand Rapids Parade. Mason's 1st time.

Mason getting a better view.

Munchkin was very excited (she knew there would be candy involved).

She awaits patiently.

Poor guy... the firetrucks and a couple other trucks were a little to loud for him.

After hearing the sound of a firetruck close-up.. Mason wasn't so sure of being next to one now.

Munchkin and Mama.

You have to have fireworks Popsicle's for the 4th. My absolute favorite!

Kids and I trying to take our own picture. (Papa was busy working in the house)

This is what we would look like if we were stick people.

Oh yeah..... sparkler time!
(again... don't worry there was no harm/burning of the children)

He thought these were pretty cool. This year he's old enough to understand more so he's experiencing alot of 1st time things.

This is Kailyn's favorite thing to do on the 4th.

Later we decided to take the kids to the EGR firework show. I was pretty nervous with Mr. Trouble (Mason). They loved it and were very good. As Matt said..... '...this is one of the best times of being a parent... seeing the kids faces light up... experiencing some of their first adventures in life.'
Was a excellent family day!
