July 4th and 5th, the fam (Erica, Dan, Hanah, Jordan, Matt, myself, Kailyn, Mason, Derek, Tina, Taylor and Sam) held a big garage sale..well... more of an estate sale of my dads belongings. Let me tell you . . . this man collected soooooooooooo many things in his 65 years of life. We made a decent profit for us kids to split and still had alot of his stuff left over after the sale. It's amazing that so many people have to have material things in life and nothing, I mean nothing, goes with you in the end. It's actually kinda sad.
But it was good for us as a family to get to spend time with each other (and get closer). We very much needed it. I do hope we can continue to do more things.
Matt's parents also came in for the weekend. We did a mini celebration on Mason's Birthday. Grandma and Grandpa got him some manly trucks and basketball hoop. Mason did understand that the purpose is to get things into the net.
